The Dream Team are dipping their fingers into all things spooky, creepy, and scary, as we play along with the Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. The team will be taking turns to fill the quota of 31 days on the Dream It Up! blog, and posting on their own blogs as well. Be sure to leave them lots of love as this is truly a challenge for many of them! Here is today's post from Laura Drahozal:
For this card, Laura was inspired by the Disney classic Snow White. First, she masked out the inside of the LL3017 Cameo Stencil with removable tape and pasted the frame with Metallic Gold Embossing Paste. While that dried, she used a drip stamp on some red card stock and embossed it with Stampendous Green Tinsel Embossing Powder. Then, she positioned the LL562 Large Apple Stencil
over the top, traced it, and cut it out. She enhanced the apple shape
with pigment ink. She also used the stencil to trace and cut out the
brown stem. The background (reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland) was
created by running the LJ 915 Opto Checkerboard Stencil through her die cut machine with the Rubber Embossing Mat.
She used the Core'dinations chalkboard effect card stock and sanded
it. The mirror was made by stamping with Stayzon on the back of scrap
metal. She used Black Glossy Embossing Paste with the Apple Stencil (the leaf masked out) on the background and put the apple pieces on it while it was still wet. The sentiment is stamped.
The Smeared and Smudged site is offering prizes each day of the month by a long list of sponsors...Dreamweaver being one of them, but we are also offering one stencil (our choice) to one lucky commenter on the Dream It Up! blog each day of the month! So, leave your comment below before heading over the Smeared and Smudged blog to view all of the other creepiness!
