Hey! Welcome to the birth of a new year...2015 to be precise! In honor of that, we've decided that our monthly challenge for January will be Birthday Wishes. We'd love for you to play along with us, and link your creations to the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of this post, or on the Dream It Up! blog, for a chance to win the stencil of your choice...and remember, using Dreamweaver products gets you bonus points towards an extra stencil!
As far as occasion cards go, I think birthday cards are the ones that I am in need of most often! So I try to have a few extra made and on hand for those special friends and family. This card was actually made by Elaine Benedict and it is sparkly and bright! Elaine happens to love stenciling with ink and the way she made this card was to stencil the butterflies (LL591) with pigment inks and then paste embossed the image with the translucent embossing paste (DEPT). She then removed the stencil and while the paste was still wet she sprinkled it with the Stampendous crystal glitter. Remember that the translucent embossing paste is milky white, but when it dries it is clear and the wonderful thing about the Stampendous crystal glitter is that it is also transparent. The happy birthday stencil (LM285) was paste embossed with the gold embossing paste (DGP) onto a beautiful Japanese paper by Hanko designs.
Thanks for sharing with me Elaine...hope you are enjoying the warmth of Hawaii!
Please take the time to see what our design team is up to and don't forget to leave them some nice comments. In fact if you are reading this and leave comments for my team this week I will enter your name for a drawing to win the new fairy stencil that I posted on my blog yesterday! I will announce the winner on my post for next week. I like to do these things once in awhile to see if you are reading...LOL!!! Love that you come to see our posts and comment! Thank you!!!
