Christmas in August with Woodware: Hop Day One

Yes! It's that time of year again! The time when we inspire crafters on both sides of the "pond" with a mix of both Dreamweaver and Woodware UK* products for the holidays! Six days, SIX, of beautiful, elegant, merry, cute, artsy, and craftsy projects to have you heading out to your local stores or internet sites to buy these goodies immediately!

Today I am starting my posts with a blast from the past. Yep! ....this gorgeous card was done by Pam Hornschu and is one of my all time favorites from her Christmas Collection!

She first prepared her blue cardstock by stenciling the Gothic Snowflake (LL396) randomly with Clearsnap ColorBox White Ink, using a large stencil brush to achieve the "strié" effect at the edges and stenciling off the edge of a piece of paper for the lined effect you see in the middle of the card.

This classic Sleigh Stencil (LJ904) was then stenciled with the Tsukineko Versamark stamp pad and Stampendous Silver Embossing Powder was sprinkled onto it liberally....then heated with a heat gun. This shiny sleigh is now ready for the extra fussy cut sleigh piece that she prepared earlier by stenciling the edges with blue ink on polka dot paper. The snow effect was created with the regular Dreamweaver Embossing Paste (DEP) by sculpting it onto the sleigh piece with a palette knife. She added more of the DEP around the base of the sleigh runners and then liberally added Stampendous Multi Crystal Glitter to the wet paste. She also paste-embossed the Season's Greetings from the sleigh stencil onto the blue card and as embellishment she added the Silver Snowflakes "Class-A-Peels"

Three prize packages will be given to three commenters during this week's posts on the team's blogs, including five stencils and one nested die set. You can have an opportunity to win these goodies by leaving some holiday sweetness for each team member posting each day, to be one of the three winners for the week. Here are the team members that are inspiring you today:

A beautiful card Pam! I love the way you have slightly repositioned the stencil when creating the snow.

What a festive card...and why didn't it occur to me that Dreamweaver Embossing Paste would be perfect for snow!! I'll be using that idea. Thank you.
