We're already into the third week of April, and no foolin', the Dream Team has had a
spectacular month...filled with exciting news and
inspiration for all of your crafting dreams! The exciting news being
announced on the
Dream It Up! post today. Each team member has posted
what inspires them in their creative life...maybe a Pinterest pic, a
magazine pic, a quote, a book, a place, an artist, a crafter
friend...along with their creation. We are hoping that you will feel
inspired as well, and link your projects (and inspiration) to the
inlinkz tool on the bottom of this post.
Check out these posts, including our Guest Designer, after reading the exciting news below:
and our "newbies":
For those of you who caught my special prize opportunity in last week's post, the winner is:

Please email me at lynell@dreamweaverstencils.com with your snail mail addy, and I'll choose a special stencil to send to you!
This is the time of the year when we say goodbye to some much-loved designers, and say hello to some new. I'm going to let this be my inspiration for this week, as I've found all of my Dream Team(s) to be particularly inspiring...in their creations for Dreamweaver, in their lives, and in the art that moves them to inspire others. You'll see a mix of both teams as they pass like ships sailing in the night, next week in our collaborative week and hop with Stampendous. Be sure to follow us all of April 21st - 25th, leaving comments, for a chance to win one of THREE prize packages!
And now...a huge welcome and congratulations to our Dream Team 2014:
1.
Alison Heikkila:
Alison has been a guest designer for us in the past, and we're thrilled that she submitted for the team this year. She is a very busy and proud Mom of two, but still finds time to design for several companies. She has a cool twist to her art, and will make you see Dreamweaver product in a whole new light...or slightly dark! In her words:
"Being part of this amazing team is such an honor.
I have
been paper crafting for as long I can remember. My mom (who is very
crafty herself) introduced me to crafts of all types when I was a
toddler. I do lots of things, but paper crafts hold a special place in
my heart. I owned a scrapbooking store for a few years, and it brought me
so much joy. Art of all kinds is in my blood. I think I'm
able to bring an -ahem- unusual point of view to Dreamweaver. And I mean
that in the best way possible. ;) I love to look at things differently,
to experiment, and to push boundaries. I love to make things that are
creepy but not gory, though I love to use lots of glitter and make
pretty things. I try to make things that are unexpected, roughed up and
cool."

Jamie Martin:
Jamie has been a friend of our team leader, Pam, for many years, so Pam has been attempting to "nudge" her in the direction of Dreamweaver Stencils. She has a clean and simple approach to design, with always that little "something" to make her creations special. In her words:
"I was born and raised in sunny Southern California and recently moved to Oklahoma
where I continue my passion for crafting. I'm married with 2 wonderful
children who all support my obsession. I started stamping in 1996 and soon
after started teaching classes and formed a stamp club. I was
fortunate enough to be hired by "a favorite stamp company of Dreamweaver", where I worked for 5
years. Shortly after moving to Oklahoma I formed another stamp club with a
fun and crafty group of ladies and started designing once
again. I am so happy and honored to now be on the Dreamweaver Stencils
Design Team with such a great group of talented people."

Lynn Mercurio:
Yet another designer that Pam has "nudged" over the past year. Lol. Fortunately for us, Lynn enjoyed playing with Dreamweaver as a Super Nova on Paper Craft Planet, and her very creative eye caught ours as well! In her words:
"I
live in the St. Louis area with my husband and our Golden Retriever,
Allie. I'm a mother of two grown children and 3 precious girls call me
Grandma. I'm an avid paper-crafter who loves spending time in my craft
room surrounded by paper, ink, stencils, and other crafty supplies when
I'm not working my full-time job."

Kristine Reynolds:
Yep! Another find by Pam! Kristine lives close to Pam, so they've had the opportunity to play with stamps and, of course, Dreamweaver Stencils! Kristine has found that it can be addictive! Hee hee! In her words:
"I
am a 40ish California girl and have been married for 25 years to my
best friend and biggest supporter. I have two fabulous kids. My
daughter, Tyler is 22 and is working on her teaching credential at Cal
Poly San Louis Obispo and is getting married in August and my son,
Garret, is 19 and is in his second year at the Eastman School of Music
in NY. I have
been playing with paper for ten years and hope my projects give you
some inspiration!"

Gill Wilson:
Gill has been a follower from afar...all the way in West Yorkshire, England! She recently had the opportunity to take the Dreamweaver Teacher Certification course there, sponsored by Woodware UK. In her words:
"I
was born in the late 50s, and was an only child. I'm single (and happy
to be so). Both my grandmothers were crafters, one was a tailoress, and
the other did embroidery, knitting and crochet. My crafting experience
started as a small child knitting scarves for my dolls.
I've
lived in the same house for the last 40 years and worked in the Civil
service for 28 years when I left and began working for Dawn Bibby Craft
Designer and TV presenter for 6 years. I worked as shop
manager, and then worked on Dawn's Design team making samples for the TV
shows on QVC and more recently Create and Craft. I have also appeared
on Create and Craft demonstrating Jewelery-making."
