WINNERS
I want to thank everyone who went crazy with me last week and made encouraging comments on my blog as I played with the new Tree line die. We have two random winners listed at the bottom of this post. We will send you the new Tree line die or any stencil that you prefer.
This month our challenge is "Dreamweaver Stencils to die for"....all about our dies and how they can be used in conjunction with our metal stencils. I had a special request from a customer this past week asking about how to use them in the embossing machine and more specifically the Cuttlebug...so I have just a short tutorial showing how to use the dog stencil (LL3029) and the dog die (DL3029).
I first paste-embossed the dog stencil and the Doggone! stencil (LG749) with the Matte Black Embossing Paste (DMBP) and let it dry for about a half an hour. I have an old electric skillet that I put on the lowest setting and it is done in half that time. |
Use the Dreamweaver Stencils extra small die tool (DCT) to poke out any pieces that got stuck in the die and now you are ready to remove the release paper from the back of the decorative paper pieces and place them on top of the Black paste-embossed dog. I like to do several different patterns of paper for interest when I am doing paper piecing. I think this doggie really looks like the "calico dog" from that old poem of days gone by. |
Now don't forget to take the time to see what our wonderful team has created with the Dreamweaver Stencils dies. Here is the "B" team list and we are joined by our wonderful guest designer Terri Sproul. Leave them some love in the form of a comment or two. This gives them energy to keep creating for your pleasure.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WINNERS
Our two random winners are:
Jade Passmore
and
Burning Rubber
Email me your snail mail addys and I will mail you the new Tree line die (DG745) or if you would prefer a metal stencil... let me know your choice. lynell@dreamweaverstencils.com
Just want you to know that this is randomly selected from the list of all comments...my design team is not included, duplicate comments on the same day were not included. Today I used random.org...sometimes I choose a winner by writing everyone's name on a piece of paper and then have someone here in the office choose, so we try to mix it up with how we do our random winners. I am excited for both of you!

Congrats to the lucky winners. I love how you used the embossing paste to add dimension and shadow. Love this cute little doggy
Lucky winners! love the dog too
what a great post, thanks for sharing
Love the dog.
What a great idea to mix up the paper pieces, he looks like a hand-made stuffie from Grandma! and what a great tip to put adhesive on the paper before cutting.
Thanks...
So cute Lynell! I just love that dog stencil and even more now that it has the matching die! Congrats to the winners!
Love the raised embossed effect and black border you've created, I'd never have thought to paste AND paper piece but the effect is great. Thank you for another great idea. Congratulations to the winners. x
Lynell love this little dog, and I alos love all your treeline cards. can't wait until this weekend to have time to play.
Thank you so much, Lynell! I love this little doggone card. How fun to paper piece over the black embossing paste.
Such a cute card and I love the paper you used.
What fun paper you found for your doggie!
Super cute. I have this die and stencil and must give it a try. Great idea.
