Welcome to another "Dream-Pendous" week of inspiration! The Stampendous team and the Dreamweaver team are collaborating once again with all the fun toys in both team's arsenal. Of course, as usual, there will be great prizes available for those who comment throughout this week. In face there will be three prize packages available to win. Each will have a great selection of Dreamweaver Stencils and Stampendous images and dies...one of which being the new "Blossom Beauty" face image as shown on the badge above.
Here is my creation for today:
Pam here for the second day of our collaboration with Stampendous. Today's card features the flower from the Stampendous Blossom Beauty set, along with it's matching die set. I stamped the image in aqua on a page from an old poetry book, added a light wash of inks, and over-stamped the image again in black ink. I lined up and die cut the flower with my Big Shot machine. A quick note regarding the matching die set...there are three dies in this set, to cut flowers in three sizes from this flower image. You'll see more sizes over the week. Cool concept!
Now for my yummy Dreamweaver details. The black linen panel was embossed by running the Quartefoil stencil through the Big Shot machine, following this sandwich layering:
1. Place stencil face down on base plate only.
2. Place cardstock panel face down on stencil.
3. Place rubber embossing mat on top of cardstock.
4. Place the TWO clear plates on top of all, and run through machine. Having both plates on top protects your metal stencils from the roller inside the machine.
Once embossed, I used a Strie technique...lightly inking a large stencil brush, and brushing from top to bottom over the raised areas, and from side to side. The end result is a linen-like appearance with wonderful highlighting of the design. To finish off the card, I simply paste-embossed in Glossy Black the Vertical Friend stencil on the violet panel. Now I have a great card to have on hand for so many occasions, and it was quick and simple.
Please visit the team's players for today, and leave comments as you go!
