April Inspirations/A New Challenge and We Have Three Winners!

My inspiration...a pix we took this week in the Napa Valley of CA
We're already into April, and no foolin', the Dream Team has a spectacular month planned for you...filled with exciting news and inspiration for all of your crafting dreams! The exciting news will be announced in the Dream It Up! post on April 17th, but the "April Inspirations" challenge will run for the entire month. Each team member will post what inspires them in their creative life...maybe a Pinterest pic, a magazine pic, a quote, a book, a place, an artist, a crafter friend...along with their creation. We are hoping that you will feel inspired as well, and link your projects (and inspiration) to the inlinkz tool on the Dream It Up! blog. Check out what our Guest Designer and the "A" team have been inspired by for this week...

This past week Wayne and I drove to the Napa Valley to visit family and took several walks. It had rained recently and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. For those of you who know us, we are crazy in love with nature...so this month I will post photos that we've taken.

The card you see here was created with the Crackle Embossing Paste. This month I will enter all commenters into a random drawing. Your comments can be guesses but I would like to know what other embossing paste you think was used under the crackle paste.

OUR THREE WINNERS FOR THE MARCH CHALLENGE

We have three winners that were randomly drawn this week for our March Madness Challenge...which by the way...it was great fun to see everyone's entry. The winners are Shirley AC1, Kim B and Donna T. So please email me your snail mail addresses and I will send you your prize. lynell@dreamweaverstencils.com

Now please take a minute or three to see what the Dream it UP team has posted for April Inspirations. Our guest designer is Janelle Stollfus and her work is inspiring. Can't wait to check it out myself...I always get up early on Thursdays to see what the team has created! And having a guest designer is icing on the cake. Also be sure to check out Cherylynn Moser's site because on Tuesdays she is doing a DREAMWEAVER GIVEAWAY on her Tuesday posts!

Love the crackled look to your vase and I am guessing you used DEP under it. Can't wait to play along again with your April Inspirations challenge.

I think it was the original white. I don't know how to use crackle and will have to investigate that. :)

Beautiful card Lynell! I'm so jealous of your trip, it's rainy and gloomy here, no flowers yet!

I'm assuming the matte black paste - this card is gorgeous! luv the spring blossoms (wish we had some here haha) and all the layers just add so much visual appeal.

There is a wonderful ceramic look to the vase. It's amazing what you can do with stencils and paste!

I'm thinking regular black embossing paste to give the cracks the look of stained glass. It's gorgeous & I would love to make something similar!

I love the stencilled pattern on the crackled vase - stunning. I think you have used black embossing paste underneath the crackle paste. A really lovely card.

I love the colors and the use of crackle here. Stunning, as always!

I honestly don't know what other EP you used but the card is beautiful.

Beautiful card! I think the embossing paste underneath the crackle paste is black matte because the cracks are dark (possibly exposing the black underneath). I have not used the crackle paste yet but have read a blog tutorial recently were someone used it (I can't remember which design team member that was, sorry!). Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing.
