Before I get into the description of this card I need to let you know that our October stencil retreat has been cancelled. We didn't have enough interest to make it happen and I am sure we just didn't get started soon enough advertising it...so we are hoping to do it next year perhaps about the same time, however we will start sooner and give lots of information along the way.
Next... the awesomeness of Art Glitter!
Jack-o-lanterns Stencil LL531 and HappyHowloween Stencil LG749 |
The Halloween creation above was done on two stencils (LL531 Jack-o-lanterns and LG749 Doggie words) using the Black Art Glitter (#79) on wet Glossy Black Embossing Paste (DGKP). But I am getting ahead of myself. I first sprayed the jack-o-lanterns stencil with the Memories Mist called Orange Juice (MM12). While it was wet I placed it on a clean paper towel with the inked side facing up and placed the glossy paper on top of the wet stencil. I smoothed it with my hand on the back of the stencil and then removed the paper immediately. Because it is on glossy paper it takes 5-10 minutes to dry. Once dry I repositioned the stencil on the stencil and paste-embossed the pumpkins with the Glossy Black Embossing Paste, and then after removing the stencil I used the Black Glitter.
The HappyHowloween stencil (LG749) was also paste-embossed with the Glossy Black Paste (DGKP) and this was sprinkled with the Art Glitter called Pumpkin (#56). I have to admit it looks much sharper in person ...or in this case "in pumpkin".
Don't forget to play along with us this month by linking your creation with the linky tool below...remember the challenge is called Awesome Autumn.
